Students & lone soldiers
Students, gap year and lone soldiers
Kiryat Gat sits on the railway between Be'er Sheva and Tel Aviv, and the city's municipal company holds events for students and young adults, including a students' opening-of-year evening. Lone soldiers and new-oleh soldiers can get grants through the Ministry of Aliyah branch and support from national programmes; the nearest Lone Soldier Center is in Be'er Sheva.
