All of Carmei Gat
Not sure which area yet? Start with the whole city.
Carmei Gat 01 (west)
Community name for the western part, nearest the bridge to the rest of Kiryat Gat. Home to many English-speaking families in the new Nechalim minyan and to the Yachad shul building. The Sha'ar HaIr terminal at the western entrance has intercity buses.
Carmei Gat 02 (central)
Community name for the centre: dense apartment towers, many gans, Big Carmei Gat (Rami Levy, Super-Pharm, cafés) and the Sportek. The Friday-night Happy Clappy and Snappy Zappy minyanim meet here.
Carmei Gat 03 (north)
Community name for the newer north: streets named after women, the Reisdor strip mall, the Castle park, the bus terminal where city lines start, and the site of Carmei Zion's permanent building (ground broken September 2025).
Carmei Gat 07 (south)
Community name for the south, around Gat Center (Clalit and Maccabi clinics, Shufersal) and Nofech St (the matnas, Cramim school). Ropes, Omega and Airplane parks. Minyan Meshulav meets in homes here.
Avnei HaChoshen
The area along Sderot Avnei HaChoshen near Gat Center, with an English-speaking cluster. Carmei Zion's current address is 74 Sderot Avnei HaChoshen, the Rabin high school is on the same boulevard, and families meet at the Ropes park in the afternoons.
Carmei Gat North (planned)
A planned northern expansion of about 6,000 more homes (Hebrew Wikipedia). In April 2024 Dimri was selling Dira BeHanacha flats there. Still under planning or early construction.

Kiryat Gat (older city)
The established city south of Carmei Gat, founded in 1954: the train station, central bus station, post office, library, Wednesday shuk, government offices and Terem urgent care. Older neighbourhoods such as Glickson, HaBanim and Sha'ar Darom; most shuls are Sephardi or Moroccan.
