Carmei Gat has playgrounds throughout the neighbourhood, and the Carmei Gat community site names the main ones. In the south, the Airplane park near Nofech St is the largest; in the north, Castle park has grass for birthday parties and a ninja course. Ropes park, across from Gat Center, has water fountains and is popular in the afternoons with English-speaking families, and Makolet park, across from Gat Market near Carmei Zion, is busy on Shabbat. A bike path runs up past a ninja park towards the Reisdor park and its fish pond.
Further out, Park Paz is in central Kiryat Gat, and the KKL-JNF HaMalachim-Shahariya Forest, about 4 km east of Kiryat Gat, has picnic areas and trails.
