Carmei Gat is a neighbourhood of Kiryat Gat, and its schools come under the Kiryat Gat Education Department. State (mamlachti) primary schools include Cramim on Nofech St, Menachem Begin and the new Naomi Shemer, which is adding a grade each year. State-religious primary schools include Kol Eliyahu (also growing a grade a year) and the Carmei Gat state-religious schools on Sderot Carmei Gat, and Or HaChaim is an official Haredi primary school.
